Are the Southern states comparable to Mexico?

If mexico is doing so well, why are their citizens illegally invading America? We like our southern states just the way they are, we don't need mexican corruption and violence. PS, this is the second time I've seen this question today, you must not have gotten any answers you liked the first time.
