If i drop out of one school can i enrole in a differnt school?

Ok so its the first day of school where I live.so I can just switch schools but I was wondering if I drooped out of that school can I enrolled in a different school I would still be in the same district I live in Texas.and the school I go to you have to be excepted in and the one I want to go to is a public school.
