I am Pentecostal, but not Apostolic. Can someone explain to me why you believe it is wrong for a woman to color and cut her hair? I know in the Bible it says that a woman must not shorn her hair.. when you shorn a sheep, it means cutting really close to the body, if not shaving the whole thing. My dog itches way to much.Waaay to much.?

He's a 4 year old German Shepherd. Like I said he itches way to much. There are two black(with a tiny bit of red) strips on either side of his back where there's no hair. He bites himself, scratches with his nails, and rubs himself against objects. His back, under the ears, and paws are problem areas. Where ever he itches, there is black and no hair. He often breaks his skin and gets blood out. Recently he damaged the pad of his front paw so badly that he can't walk. We use a hypoallergenic shampoo. We've changed his food four times. It went from beef to chicken to vegetarian, and now it's on duck. We don't spray him with anything and we've already taken him to the vet many times over because of this. Our vet doesn't have a clue. We're in the midst of changing vets amd I was wondering if anybody out there maybe knows something. Please no immature responses because this is a serious problem. It's heartbreaking. Thank you.

How Do I Motivate my 20 yo Daughter?

My daughter is 20. She has been working at the same job (a grocery store) for over 3 years (actually her first job). That isnt the issue, the issue is we moved north about 45 miles (she still lives at home) and she continues to drive to that job. I've nagged, talked, pleaded with her to get another job closer to home. She is a good kid, not a loser, just doesnt have any ambition (or maybe is scared) to move out of her comfort zone. I planted some vincas, heather and liriope around the base of some oak trees in my backyard. I planted one on a saturday and the next one on that sunday but only one of them is flourishing. Anybody know anything about squirrels?

There is a squirrel in my neighbourhood I am concerned about. It is a black squirrel and it looks like from the head down to it's front legs it has been shaven and then the hair has begun to grow back. This fur looks soft, not stubbly and it is a different colour, more like a grey. Then there is a completely bald spot by it's shoulder. I am really worried about this poor animal. It has been like that for over a week. Any thoughts on what it could be? I live in a rural area and there is no way any humane society is going to come to try to catch a squirrel. Should I get a trap and try to catch it and bring it to a vet? Suggestions ae much appreciated.

a couple of my friends suggested it not long ago, and although everyone has always commented on my weirdness and how im distant, i never really thought about it before. im 18 years old and ive always known im different from most people in some way or another. im not shy, but i will no doubt sometimes appear socially awkward, as ive always struggled to keep eye contact my entire life, often fidget and become irritable, although my social life is not a huge problem - i have many friends, (although very few close friends) who i go out to meet regularly (i always have to be mentally prepared before i have to meet anyone) but have faced instances of 'light' bullying and small amounts of ridicule through my life. although i have a small number of female friends, i am hopeless with girls, never had a girlfriend, never had any intimate experience, and they usually think im weird and will either ignore me or put me in the 'friendzone'. i dont smile much, dont show a lot of emotion, never use body language and often have trouble knowing how to act in public places when by myself. i find it hard to empathise with people. never been very good at sport, especially teamgames, although i would not say that i have bad hand-eye coordination. i go out, drink, smoke cannabis very regularly as it chills me out and helps me sleep. i focus most of my free time on music production, and general computer use, and not a lot else, which goes hand in hand with the music course i am currently taking at college. dont think theres anything else to mention apart from finding it hard to sleep at night due to super fast thoughts, mostly negative thoughts. feel down most of the time, and have suffered from anxiety for several years.

I just started a new job so quite a few people at work still do not know me. Then the other day when I was on my lunch break, I heard two people talking about me. I was sitting down and had my back to them, but I knew they were referring to me because we were the other three people in the room. It reveals that Kratos was chosen over his brother to aid the gods. His brother was sent to the mountains to fend for himself, and he soon died and went to Hades. It claims his brother swore revenge against Kratos. So my theory is that the next game you are either Kratos' brother after Kratos, or Kratos after his brother. Another theory is after you beat the game on Very Hard or God mode, a video is unlocked showing a modern day swat team arriving in helicopters and hummers at the dead corpse of Kronos. I dont know what to do with my floorboards?

i had my floorboaads in the living room sanded and varnished a few years ago and despite regular cleaning, because of my 2 kids and dog they are now quite dirty and stained i want to re-varnish or paint them but dont want the hle of sanding them i was told a while back by somebody that there is a product that you rub on and it acts similar to a sander and strips away the dirt and old varnish has anyone else heard of this and do they know what its called where i could get it and how much it cost thanks

Landlord/tenant question. What can we do about this.?

We live in Reno Nevada, We moved into a duplex managed by a "rental company" We moved in on the first of July 2007. The manager has a maintainence guy (I'll call him Al)that collects rents, fixes things, and handled our move in. Al was supposed to bring a rental agreement or lease but never has. He kept asking for the deposit money, but my better half refused to give a deposit with out a lease or a rental agreement.... We have always paid our rent on time, however we were late this week and Al came over about 8:30 at night threatening to kick us out... The chick next door is consistantly late...nothing happens to her. She also says she didn't sign a rental agreement. It seems to me that something is really fishy here... Can this company kick us out for late rent if they refuse to furnish a rental agreement?

Confused ...miscarriage 5 weeks ago and....?

ok so i miscarried 5 weeks ago and did two ultrasounds. the first one i only started to bleed a little bit and when the ultrasound was done they said there was no sac or anything (i was 6 weeks along no need for dnc) the bleeding started and all tissue was expelled. I then did another ultrasound and confirmed that it was not ectopic and there was no tissue left in my uterus. Bleeding and cramps stopped and now im having a dull ache in the right side of my stomach what is this im not pregnant i know that for sure all my levels have gone down has anyone had this??

Does anyone know a Action (Sci-Fi) Movie where a motorcycle drives on a gl office building?

About a year or more ago I saw a movie trailer in the beginning of a DVD. (The movie on the DVD could have been a couple years older, but it was within the last 15 years or newer). My memory is a little sketchy on what it was about, but the scene I remember best is a motorcycle driving on the outside of a gl windowed building. The film may or may not have been American. (Also I know the light cycles ride on walls in Tron, but this film was not Tron or Ghost Rider!) Originally I thought I remembered the trailer’s movie as being named Under Cover. But I have searched for films with this name and none matched the elements of the trailer that I remembered. I’m pretty sure the film was live action, but if not it was very detailed CGI. Like I said my memory is very sketchy on the premise of the film, but it might have been similar to Matrix, except it did not look like a dark film, but rather a bright futuristic film. One of my best friends is a figure skater and she has taught me some things, like 2 foot spins, and the waltz jump. I can also turn around and go backwards. Will my therapist be repulsed by my mother / daughter feelings for her and confuse it with ism?

m going through a confusing time. Im the only child of a seriously mentally ill mum ( neglectful and emotionally abusive but I love her greatly and see she was ill and did her best) and an absent non committal father. Im now 34yrs old, Im female. At 17, I decided myself to contact a therapist as I was experiencing panic. I bonded with her very well and she constantly expressed her admiration for me and encourged me every step of the way. I'm a well balanced logical individual and have done ok in life for myself. However my mother is now in long term institutional care and I find the adjustment difficult and sad. So i've established contact with my therapist again. I've seen her on and off since I was 17, cometimes with breaks of 5/6 years. But now I'm back for a few sessions and I find I'm so attached to her and I feel an extremely close bond. I find myself wishing I could be in her life in an other way rather than a paying client i.e a friendship. I realise this experience is known as 'transference' in therapy and is common. Also i realise a therapist is not a friend and they have boundaries to maintain. However, I wish this wasnt the case. As I'm now 34 and she is 72 I find this relationship very special and I feel shes a very special person to me. Shes told me i'm one her special clients and that she'd always do what she can for me,always as she admires my strength of character. My session today was outside of the office i.e in a restaurant and she ran it over by 40 minutes past the hour and then offered to drop me somewhere i needed to go. Shes just an incredibly special person to me and feel so blessed that i found her as my therapist so many years ago. I find we have so much in common and I just wish she was my mother or that in some way she felt she would like me as a daughter (shes married with no kids). I know I sound like a fool and i realise here that I'm paying her for a service, not a friendship but still I wish i could have more of her time ( and i know this is probably not possible) and is probably one sided on my part as she has other patients. Do you think she feels anything at all toward me? I'd say shes probably overstepped her boundaries as shes not aware of my feelings but i'm to embarressed to express them. She really is a sweet person, really really lovely. If i express them, could she confuse it with feelings? Also she offered to help me with a practical problem and told me to ring her to see how i got on dealing with something between sessions.

Scanning slides?

I've been playing around with scanning slides, and one thing I learned was that if I scan with the door closed, the pic doesn't come out. If I put a sheet of white paper behind the slides, it looks okay, but kind of hazy, like it picks up the fiber of the paper. For internet it's okay but not as good as it could be. I want to know if glossy or a really white laminated sheet would be something worth trying out, or if anyone has other suggestions. I saw the website where they used a fluorescent light and a Tupperware cover as a diffuser, but I'm figuring out if there's a type of paper (wax paper?) or background that would work just as well. I do know that whatever goes behind the slide needs to be lit, I could buy a slide scanner but with what I've done so far they're not bad, so I'm going the creative route and explore possible options of low tech ways to backlight the slides.

Im going insane?

I think i might have ocd, I get these thoughts that seem to never leave me alone. I first started having this problem about 5 years ago when i found that i was aware of breathing and i would constantly control my breathing, but then after a few months it ped and I went back to my normal self for a few years. but then in about 5th grade it bothered me again but it was controlling my swallowing and i felt the urge to swallow the smallest amount of saliva in the back of my throat. I remember feeling very depressed and distracted... my grades dropped... it ped after a few months and now years later i get these impulsive thoughts of every little thing like if i dont make a lightswitch click when i turn it off i have to do it again. and somtimes i get crazy aggressive thoughts... Child Support( ex mother in law freaking out)?

My wife has to go to court the other day because of her ex husband not paying child support. HIs mother pays his bills for him and enables him to be a dead beat dad. His mother was in the court room and confronted my wfe by throwing receites in her face from her buying clothes occasionally for the kids. It is me who takes care of the children, not him or her. Formula allergy?

My 8.5 month old son is fed and formula fed. We recently decreased the feeding and increased the formula and have noticed quite the increase in spit ups an hour or two after his feedings (4-10 spit ups after a formula feed). I realize it is normal for them to spit up, especially with how active he is on his tummy after eating (there's no keeping him still, I've tried), but I would have thought it would occur shortly after eating, not hours later. The spit up is foul smelling and it just seems to be constant through the evening (he gets formula for his 2 mid-day meals). Does this amount of spit up seem normal? He doesn't seem to mind it but I'm concerned he's losing so much of his food. He is on Similac Advanced.

Ok so there is this girl i dated for about 3 months. My son was diagnosed with Reflux, but I'm questioning Colic too?

My son is 1 month old, just diagnosed with reflux, and was put on zantac, which we just started yesterday, so no improvement as of yet. I'm not sure if he has colic too, b/c he cries pretty much all day long (not continuously, but in spurts throughout the day, like every 10 minutes all day long). We've tried everything- feeding him, diaper change, holding him, swaddling, etc, etc. Sometimes the only thing to calm his down is to feed him, even if he just ate. I'm not sure if he's crying b/c of the reflux, or if he has colic too. But the other part of the issue is that he doesn't sleep good during the day at all. He'll take like 5 minute naps, wake up and cry, take another nap, and he'll keep going through this routine all day long. I thought newborns are supposed to sleep all day long? Is this worrisome? I just called the on-call nurse and I'm waiting for a call back. Also, he has a Dr. appointment on Monday. Any advice/opinions/suggestions are very much welcomed. Thanks!

How to keep my dog from growling at the male humans, especially my husband?

We've had our new female dog for a month now. She is 2 yrs old and a "rescue" from Katrina. We think she is wonderful. She is well behaved, house broken, etc. Except for the fact that she growls at men! Especially, my husband. She has attached herself to me as her "Alpha", and follows my 3 1/2 yr old daughter around like they are best buds. She is fine with my mother, and my other grown daughter, but she growls at my grown nephew and at my husband, and the growling is getting a little louder. She has not tried to "snap" at any one, but it is worriesome. Other than that, she is a great dog. I do not know much of her situation before we got her other than she basically lived in a crate, and may have been abused before she was rescued (she cowers if you raise your voice or your hand and she hates the rolled up newspaper!). It has taken her a while to get used to everyone, but she has adapted wonderfully, except for her growling at the guys. She appears to be a Black Lab and Dalmation mix

Advise for parent's of children with sensory issues?

I have 2 yr old twin girls. The youngest of the two has moderate sensory issues. It's really difficult dealing with her because she won't eat certain foods based on how they "feel". Even if she's eaten them before you change even the slightest thing & she will notice. She is really hyperactive. When she plays she will constantly walk. She won't stop even if you sit her down to drink anything. She will get up to walk with it in her hand. I don't want to take her places with me because she can't sit still or be quiet for long periods of time. She is also slower learning because her attention span is so short. I have to tell her the same things over & over again. Even though that is normal for two year olds learning their boundaries. It's especially difficult with her. Anything new presented to her is a battle to try when it comes to food. If she goes to a dr visit if she feels she had a traumatic experience she will automatically cry & cling to me. Like a dental check-up. (IE- She had a dental check-up & it traumatized her. All her sisters went with her & they were fine. After that for about a month she would get terrified going anywhere she didn't know or didn't visit a lot & cling to me & only me for dear life. She wouldn't even go to her dad.) I love her & we have a physical therapist who is helpful with certain things. But I'm having a hard time with her because I don't know what to do. I try to be more patient with her. It's really hard to deal with her. I love her but I don't like her. It hurts me to say that. I really want to have a good relationship with her. But I don't know how to do that with someone I can't hug because she can't still long enough to. She doesn't even know how to give kisses. I showed her how (I really thought it would be a piece of cake), but she had a hard time with it. She even has a hard time doing simple things like sticking out her tongue. She loves chicken nuggets but if I change the brand she won't eat it. I just don't know what to do. She gets really attachted to certain things. Why won't my Wii read Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess?

For a while now my Wii hasn't been reading the game. At the loading screen i click on my file and the disk stops and it says the game is unreadable. I've been told that my save file is corrupt and to delete it. I tried deleting all of my files and then completely erasing memory of the game and it still continues to be unreadable. Just now i tried to go onto the game and now i put the game in, (which by the way is in perfect condition) and now i cant get ped the Wii menu without it saying an error has occurred. Well it has nothing to do with a discrepency between ur CD and ur hardware,, Windows OS CD is what it is,, it installs on x86 and if ur missing anything u add it at install time via floppy, also i have seen when the ICS/ICF service has been disabled for a while,, and most likely through some updates and then attempt to enable the service is corrupted and can't start,, honestly thats a sticky one,, u can go without,, but there are other issues involved with that,,, i actually rewrote my OS,, there may be something stopping it from starting check ur registry and check if any other service has disabled ICS/ICF,,, u can also regsrv32 the .dll files ociated with the firewall,, the FW came with SP2 so if ur initial install was SP1 and u upgraded i guess downgrade and try the upgrade again that should give u a fresh binary for that application also check what that service depends on its possible thats not started,,, All through out stopping and starting the service u should check the Event Log for any hints as to why the service is stopped =)
