World Geography map help!?

im doing a political map on Europe, and i need to know which countries are from the EU which are from the Soviet Union, and which are from the Russian Federation. please help....i tried looking all over the web i just cant find what i need. I found a map of the EU countries but then i looked at another map of the EU countries, and some where included and some not. im confused!
