Should how much money someone's parents have matter in a teenage relationship? please answer i really need hel?

well i have this friend that i kind of like,but i'm afraid to get involved because for one fact he's white and i'm black which i know wouldn't be a problem for him but idk how other people will react to that. i know he comes from a really well mannered family as well as i. the difference is that i have a single mother who is a social worker who doesn't make that much money approximately 40,000 a year at most. i'm not sure if he's like rich but i know his family has money. my biggest problem is that i fear he may not want me because his parents make more money than mine,but i only have one parent in my life. i've always been insecure about this but there's nothing i can do about it. i've never met his family so i don't really know what they're like. judging by the him and his brother act his parents must be reallllly nice. are they going to accept me even if i'm not rich? alot of people think i have money because they way i dress,but i believe in keeping my self well kept at all times. as we all know looks can be deceving so my ultimate question is should money matter in our relationship? by the way we're both 15 ,but i'm older than him
